Video killed the radio star, or Mike sounds better than he looks

Check out Mike’s commercials on local radio station WHMI. The two different radio ads will air four times a day up to Election Day on Tuesday. Today, Friday, just tune to 93.5 FM at or around 4:11 p.m. and 11:17 p.m.

Also check out Mike’s ad on page 2 of today’s Livingston County Daily Press and Argus. Unfortunately, there just weren’t enough hours in the day for Mike to knock on every single door in the 66th District, but he gave it a good shot. We are using our limited resources to reach out to voters the best way we can. If you want to personally meet or talk to Mike feel free to call the phone number or e-mail listed on our blog and web site.

Good job Mr.McGonegal as Mr.Ward probably thought your add was as good or better than your debate performance.

Today the New York Times reported the leader of Taiwan is looking at criminal charges for embezzling and his wife is charged with stealing from a fund concerning diplomatic initiatives. So Anita and I ask what in the world was Mr.Ward doing half a world away and how is this country which is chocking in its own waste relevant to us here in the 61st. I bring it up because several weeks ago our bridge club had discussions about it.Anita and Milt.

thanks for connecting the dots between ward and lafave and exposing their folly and pay to play scheme.it seems pay to play is the mantra of the right honorable gentleman from brighton,mr.ward

Yes to this "pay to play" jazz just go south to Toledo and a political trial there is all about this idea that lobbyists pull the strings of the elected officials. What abut this and Mr.Ward and the wine wholesalers although on a smaller scale. They pay and they get to play by the rules because their man is the go to guy.Seems very obvios that Mr.Ward is paid and the wine guys play.Has this been brought out for discussion by this candidate.

Tonight Ney resigned from congress. Given the fact that Ward is caught up in influence peddling with the wine powers why does he not become the target of prosecutors. What is the difference.Guru if you are a lawyer give us your answer if not please ask the prosecutor.

Well, Milt, I have no idea why a state lawmaker would need to go to Taiwan. That’s a question that Mr. Ward needs to answer, but he really doesn’t have to because no one ever holds him accountable for his actions. It was interesting that the AP article said, “the presidential office's accounting of expenditures from a secret fund that is normally used to support overseas diplomacy efforts.”

Thanks for your input Brett, Troubled and Anonymous. I am not a lawyer. However, from what I understand from complex campaign finance law, what Mr. Ward did and continues to do is legal. Like I have said many times, legal yes, ethical no.

Cathy here to say today John DePetro of WRKO in Boston was fired because of his comments about the weight and sexual preference of The Green-Rainbow paty candidate for govenor. The radio GM said the derogatory statements cant be tolerated and that his statements were inappropriate and would not be condoned. So the other Cathy is correct as evidenced by the comments of Mr.Mcgonegal and his call for an apology.Keep it up you guys Iam firing Mr.Ward on 11-7-6.This is the other Cathy or new Cathy.

Thank you for the information, Cathy the Other. The only way Mr. Ward is going to get fired is if we do it Tuesday. The sad part is he’s gotten a free pass on a lot of worse stuff in the past.

No doubt Chris resides in an ivory tower. His lack of credentials makes him weak by his lack of real world job-related experience. He is just dragging us all into medocrity or worse.Chris is ok but not as our rep.He nolonger is the man.

I don’t think there’s any doubt we need someone with some actual, real world experience to help find some real solutions to our real world problems instead of a political hack. What qualifies Mr. Ward to help solve our economic woes? His experience includes being the head of the county party at a time when partisan politics have to be set aside long enough to get both sides to the table to find a solution, and serving as a township clerk. I have no idea how that resume equips him to address the real world economic problems facing our state. Maybe one of Mr. Ward’s supporters can enlighten me.

Thanks for posting, Neighbor, and I’m glad you’re with us. However, you only have a few days to convince your husband to vote for Michigan’s future and Mike McGonegal. After doing the research required to keep up this site and looking at Mr. Ward’s record I’m more amazed every single day why anyone would ever vote for Mr. Ward. You either have to be a member of his family or a blind follower of the party line. Perhaps your husband can tell me why he’s voting for Mr. Ward after looking at his record.

If Mr. Ward takes trips, meals or gifts, including campaign donations in return for official actions on behalf of lobbyists , then he has committed a crime. The key is whether he took anything of value in return for official actions. The focus is on the intent of the actor and intent can be established by cicumstantial evidence.

We are now a weekend away from the November elections. The temptation is to consider the Argus endorsement for Mr. Ward as real politics. It is not. This election will be a referendum on following the party line versus choosing the right person for the job.So to me Mr.Mcgonegal is the better and more honest if not also the kinder candidate.

Hey Guru is the J.D. correct? You keep claiming Ward is only unethical but it does sound as if he could also be more than that.
